Subject: [announce] Crown Tournament Lists
To: Lochac Announce <lochac-announce@lochac.sca.org>

Hearken, people of Lochac, and give ear to tidings of steel and honour, for the time draws nigh when the fate of the realm shall be weighed upon the edges of swords in the fields of Mordenvale next Saturday. There shall the Crown Tournament be fought, and from that storm of spears shall arise the rightful Heirs to bear the weight of kingdom and crown.

These are the names of those who come forward, as in the tales of old, each with their sworn inspiration:

First steps forth Good Gentle Titus Aurelius Valens Ruptor Clipeōrum, breaker of shields, who lifts his sword in loyal service to Count Sir Berenger of Nancy.

Sir Gregory of Lochswan tightens his helm‑straps and swears his strength to Countess Lilya Bint Hizir, whose courage shines as a torch before him.

Jarl ThorolfR olfuss Brandsson, bold in counsel and keen in battle, takes the field for Jarlskona Halla Vinagjafar Hrafnsdóttir, whose wisdom sits upon her like a mantle of silver.

Count Aonghus mac Griogair mhic Raghnaill, seasoned in many tourneys, girds himself for Contessa Magnifica Ginevra Lucia di Namoraza, bright as the morning over the sea‑cliffs.

Marquis Bain of Stornoway, storm‑strong and steadfast, fights in the name of Marquesa Iglesia Delamere, whose word is as sure as oaths on the ring.

Master Cormac Lenihan, cunning in craft and valiant in arms, stands in the lists for Mistress Elspeth Caerwent, she who is rich in honour and renown.

Sir Ianto van Diemen, whose blows fall like the strokes of oars on a war‑ship’s course, raises his blade for Baroness Vitez Tatiana, well‑beloved and generous of heart.

Sir Yves la Chat Blac, quick as the shadow of a raven’s wing, contests for The Honourable Lady Petra Picassio, whose favour he bears as a treasured token.

Sir Hanbal al‑Barbari, whose courage is sung in many halls, goes forth for Baroness Ute von Tangermünde, lady of firm mind and fair fame.

The Honourable Lord Galen Wulfric, wolf‑bold amid the spear‑hedge, fights for Mistress Slaine Inguian Ui Rhudahan, whose counsel is keen as a whetstone.

The Honourable Lady Aia, steadfast as an oaken shield, bears arms for Master Angus Macdougall, whose name is known where war‑songs are sung.

The Honourable Noble Valentine Selbie, bright as spring on the fjords, contends for Domina Fabia Maxima, whose glory shines like gold upon the high seat.

The Honourable Lord Clifford Ascheburner, whose deeds glow like coals beneath the ash, takes the field for Lady Rhianna verch y Koedwr, whose spirit is as the green strength of the deep woods.

Lord Eamon MacLochlainn, keen‑eyed and battle‑ready, fights for Lady Cristin Verch Reys, whose honour stands firm as a hall in winter storm.

Lord Leo of Achaia, lion‑heart among warriors, sets his spear‑will in service to Lady Rose le Taillor, as fair and deft as her name.

Lord Alexander Scipio Valerius, whose resolve is iron‑hard, strives in the lists for Isaac of St Florian, whose courage he holds dearer than gold.

Isaac of St Florian, in turn, girds himself for Lord Alexander Scipio Valerius, and thus do these two stand shield to shield, each the other’s chosen and sworn.

Henry Kelson, ready for the clash of arms, comes forward for Malichite of St Florian, whose spirit is bright as a banner snapping in the wind.

Let all good folk of the kingdom mark these names and keep them as saga‑words in memory, for soon shall they be tested beneath the wide sky of Mordenvale in a hard‑fought best‑of‑three, double‑elimination contest of arms. Come then, nobles and commons, skalds and shield‑bearers, to witness this great game of honour, where steel will speak, oaths will stand fast, and from among these stout‑hearted contenders in the stern counting of many bouts shall rise the future Crown of Lochac.

Yours in Service

Konungr Þorvaldr and Dróttning Amabilia
Undoubted Crown of Lochac
