The Dice and Cup Tavern - Sat 3 August 2024
by Stephen Drane 19 Jul '24

19 Jul '24

Come one, come all, to the Dice and Cup Tavern! As the wintry wind blows outside, bask in the warmth of fine company and try your hand at an assortment of medieval board games - from Backgammon to Nine Man's Morris, Fox and Geese to Liar's Dice, Hnefetafl to Hazards, Bone-Ace to Ruff! I've been researching the rules of such games for a while now, yet despite bringing my game kit to many events I never seem to find a moment to pull it out. Come and see the fruits of my labours, and join in a gaming tradition that has lasted through the centuries! THL Gillucan ua Tomaltaig Proprietor, The Dice and Cup Tavern *Date:* Saturday, 3rd August 2024 *Time: *2:00-10:00 pm *Location:* The Djerring Centre 4 Eddy Court, Abbotsford 3067 Melway ref: 44 D5 *Timetable:* 1:30 pm Setup 2:00 pm Event opens 2-10 pm Medieval board games, chatting and other socialising 6:00 pm Potluck dinner 10:00 pm Event closes 10:30 pm All off site *Prices:* $10 Adult $5 Minor (6-17) Free Child (0-5) Non-members must pay an additional fee for insurance: +$10 Adult +$5 Minor (under 18) *Booking form:* https://forms.gle/4UFazxZJdtmhomqX8 *Event website: * https://stormhold.lochac.sca.org/the-dice-and-cup-tavern-3rd-august-2024/
